The Life Saving Rules: Promoting Working Safely
Nothing is more important than the safety of our
team members and everyone who works alongside us.
Safeguarding Lives, Every Working Day
GE Vernova’s Life Saving Rules are our instructions and critical controls for fatality-free operations. They are central to the safety of our team members and those who work alongside us. They are our commitment to ensuring everyone working for us, or on our behalf, goes home safely at the end of the day.
As a company leading the energy transition, we believe we have a responsibility to promote safe working across the energy sector. As a result, our Life Saving Rules are freely available to download or share for anyone involved in or managing staff undertaking high-risk operations.

About the life saving rules
GE Vernova's technology base helps generate approximately 25% of the world's electricity and has a meaningful role to play in the energy transition. With the size and scale of GE Vernova’s technologies and products, combined with diverse work locations to manufacture and service those products, significant operational and safety challenges are unavoidable.
Developed in 2024, the Life Saving Rules are designed to embed a culture of safety in these dynamic, high-risk environments. Informed by extensive data and benchmarking across various industries, these Rules represent intentional improvements at GE Vernova for frontline employees, contractors, and partners. They are essential to making safety a daily, operational practice.
"Safety is the foundation of everything we do at GE Vernova. By making our Life Saving Rules public, we're inviting others to join us in building a safer, stronger industry for everyone." Rob Cummings, GE Vernova, Global Environment, Health, and Safety Leader
At GE Vernova, safety is a shared commitment. By offering these Life Saving Rules to the public, we are helping the industry implement stronger safety protocols and protect lives.
And we’re not stopping there. These principles extend beyond energy, delivering value to high-risk industries everywhere.
